'Insults on Social Networks - Classification of the Consequences as Legal Interests, Their Attribution and the Significance for the Structure of the Offence': Insults in social networks can have far-reaching effects. Based on a critical Legal Interest Theory, this paper first analyses the extent to which the effects are worthy of protection under criminal law. It also analyses whether the effects interests identified as legal interests can be protected by Section 185 StGB de lege lata. This includes an examination of possible offence structures. Finally, a reform of Section 185 StGB is proposed.
