Robert Schumann - Violinsonate Nr. 1 a-moll op. 105 - Besetzung: Violine und Klavier

The famous, wonderful first of Schumann's three late violin sonatas, that in a minor op. 105, was written in just a few days in September 1851. In regard to publication of the present edition, violinist Florian Sonnleitner remarked that he loved to play this one so much because "very compact in form, and in the merciless key of a minor, it is one of the most direct mirrors of Schumann's inner life". The Henle Urtext edition is based on the autograph and on Schumann's working copy of the first printing.

La première des trois sonates pour violon tardives de Schumann, la magnifique et célèbre sonate en la mineur op. 105 fut écrite en septembre 1851 en l'espace de seulement quelques jours. Le violoniste Florian Sonnleitner déclara à l'occasion de la parution de la présente édition qu'il aimait tellement interpréter cette sonate, car par sa «forme très condensée et la tonalité impitoyable de la mineur», elle est «l'un des reflets les plus fidèles de la vie intérieure de Schumann». L'édition urtext de Henle repose sur le manuscrit autographe ainsi que sur un exemplaire de la première édition ayant appartenu à Schumann.

Die berühmte, wunderschöne erste der drei späten Violinsonaten, die Sonate a-moll op. 105, entstand in nur wenigen Tagen im September 1851. Der Geiger Florian Sonnleitner bemerkte im Zusammenhang mit der Veröffentlichung der vorliegenden Ausgabe, dass er diese Sonate so gerne spiele, weil sie "in sehr gedrängter Form und in gnadenlosem a-moll einer der unmittelbarsten Spiegel des Seelenlebens Schumanns" sei. Der Henle-Urtextausgabe liegen das Autograph und Schumanns Handexemplar des Erstdrucks zugrunde.
