'The Path to the Right Punishment. Continuities and Discontinuities in Questions of Criminal Theory, Types of Punishment, and Sentencing in Scientific Debate from 1919 to 1945': The focus of this thesis is the scientific debate on sentencing in the Weimar Republic and under National Socialism. The thesis examines the extent to which the continuity thesis - i.e., that there are consistent trends in the development of criminal law in the 20th century - also applies to the area of sentencing, and concludes that continuous trends can also be traced here.
